Week of: 1/29-2/2
Spray Painting (ART): Performs fine-motor tasks that require small-muscle strength and control. This explored wet media and color mixing. Colored water bubbles: Children used a variety of kitchen tools to mix water to create bubbles. This is a community building sensory activity.
Self-Portraits:This allows children to see how they change as they grow. Like everyone, children are changing all the time – both year to year and day to day. Regular self-portraits allow children to document that change, and help them to understand it.
Painting sculptures: Earlier in the month the preschoolers created sculptures. This week they got to pain them, using primary colors. This exposed them to coloring mixing and fine motor developments preparing their small muscles for writing tools. They also are able to express themselves through creativity. Max’s Dragon Shirt: Children create their own expressive painting to connect to the OWL story, Max’s Dragon shirt.
