Our first week of OWL (Opening The World To Learning Curriculum) went great! We will be learning about families for the next four weeks; our stories and centers will be family themed.
*The Early Childhood Welcome carnival is on Thursday, October 13th from 3:30-5:00. Sign up forms went home on Wednesday, if you plan to attend please send your form back in your child’s backpack by Thursday, October 6th! (See your child’s teacher if you need an extra copy). It is sure to be a fun family event!
Our centers this week were:
Exploring water’s movement (science): Children use simple tools in exploring water. Develops fine motor skills.
Shape collage (art & math): Creates artwork to express thoughts & feelings. Uses a variety of different tools and materials. Uses basic shapes and forms of different sizes to create artwork. Explores and experiments with concepts of patterns and symmetry.
Painting with primary colors (ART): Creates artwork to express ideas. Explores and experiments with paint and art easel. Uses and cares for art materials.
